 Guns N' Roses originated in Los Angeles in June 1985. The current band members: Axl Rose-vocals, Tommy Stinson-bass, Brian Mantia-drums, Richard Fortus-guitars, Robin Finck-guitars, Dizzy Reed-keyboards, Chris Pittman-live keyboards and sound effects. Former members of the group are: Slash, Tracii Guns, Robbie Gardner, Duff McKagun, Izzy Stradlin, Gilby Clarke, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum, Paul Huge, Josh Freese, & Buckethead. Their album Appetite for Destruction was released on August 21, 1987. The album sold 20 million copies, had 3 top 10 singles, and hit number one on the charts. Appetite for Destruction remains as one of the best-selling debut album of all time.
